Small team, unusually large surface area
WowDelivery is built by a small team in Denmark. That means the person who designs a screen usually also talks to the merchant who has to use it at seven on a Friday evening — and that is the job, not a phase we are going to grow out of.
How we work
Decide, then write it down
Every meaningful choice in this product has a reason recorded next to it. Not process for its own sake — it is how a team of this size stays able to change its mind without relitigating a year of decisions.
Money is never approximate
Prices are integers in minor units, every order state change is audited, and a disputed invoice from eight months ago can be replayed exactly. That standard is not only for the ledger.
Ship the boring version first
The first version of anything customer-facing is the one we can support on a bad day. Ambition goes into the second version, once we know what actually broke.
Talk to the people using it
Merchants, couriers and support are not a research phase. If you cannot describe how your change lands in a shop kitchen, it is not finished.
Where we tend to hire
These are the areas that grow first, not a list of open positions. If one of them is obviously you, say so.
Engineering
TypeScript end to end — NestJS and Postgres on the API, Next.js on the two front ends. Strong opinions about types and about latency both welcome.
City operations
Opening a city: signing the first merchants, building courier supply, and being the person who fixes it when a Friday goes sideways.
Merchant partnerships
Sitting down with shop owners, walking them through the numbers honestly, and getting them live in an afternoon.
Support
Customers, merchants and couriers, in Danish and English. The role where you learn more about this product than anyone else in the building.
No open positions right now
We would rather say that plainly than publish a wish list. We do read open applications, and most of the people here arrived through one.
What to include
- Which area above you are aiming at, and why that one.
- Something you have built, shipped or fixed — a link beats a description.
- Whether you work in Danish, English or both.
How hiring goes
A reply
Within a week, either way. A no is a no, not silence.
A conversation
45 minutes about what you have done and what we are actually building. No whiteboard puzzles.
A real piece of work
Something drawn from our actual backlog, timeboxed and paid. You keep it either way.
Meet the team
The people you would work with, and an honest answer to anything you ask about the company.
